This is a bastardized version of Dune… the liberal/regressive version. Chani is easily the most unlikable character I’ve seen in the last 10 yrs of cinema. Always mad at something, only happy when she gets her way. Paul clearly has emotional issues seeing as how he randomly shouts at his “people” and mother… bad acting honestly. All the evidence pouring in that Paul IS the chosen one yet Paul and Chani are the only ones who refuse to see it lol. Also, I like the way they portrayed the mother (not the baby though) but the movie makes it seem like she’s the real puppet master, not Paul. This is Hollywood refusing to allow a white male to assume the hero role, obviously. I guess this is the woke version of Dune. Someone else also made this point but this movie could have been perfect if given the Peter Jackson treatment. Give me 3 movies, all 3+ hours with the final being 4 hours. There’s the same amount of content, if not MORE, than lord of the rings. I would have liked to see how space travel works better. I would have liked to see what the interiors of the ships looked like too. There’s a ton of stuff they left out in order to make the time constraints.

Could not get into it

WB being greedy again with $30.00 for a movie, guess have to wait until it goes down to $10.00 if two months. If I had know that there was a part three, I would have waited even longer, second part was that great.

Very Captivating Movie! I really enjoy the unfolding of the storyline…the religious undertone is very unique. I don’t usually watch movies like this anymore, but this one is my exception. Very Compelling And Enjoyable! Looking forward to seeing the next one

For a sequel I was really impressed. The plot was riveting. The adaptation to the book was down wonderfully. The visuals were amazing. I watched the first one years ago and couldn’t wait for the sequel - and was not disappointed. Herbert would have been proud. Excellent movie but probably not for those who shy away from true plot driven content.

It's shocking to me how mediocre both Dune parts 1 & 2 played. Not terrible, that at least could have been entertaining for being the film being bad, it's just mediocre. Didn't these films make BILLIONS of dollars? Depressing. I don't know what's worse, that Hollywood shovels out soulless garbage as "entertainment" or the masses that are used to drivel like Dune 1 & 2. I assume I'm alone here... oh well, I'll rewatch Jaws, The Sting, Alien, The Thing remake, Deliverance etc etc or a Tarantino film...

Rent this movie for $24.99 or buy it for $24.99?!? ITunes, have you lost your mind?!?

Very well done, with a lot of license to fit a new audience. They could (and should) have explored the new ideas they introduced even more. They could have gone full “Peter Jackson” and done a 6 hour epic. I’d have been even happier. Only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 stars. Irulan, Chani, Stilgar, and Feyd we’re far more interesting in this iteration than the source material

I can wait a year for the price to come down to $10.

Boy, rages saying that’s not hope…. another Messiah leading towards The preferred skin tone in Hollywood..

Graphically & Audibly one of the best movies... but story wise they chopped alot of book themes for more progressively cultured themes into an old universe. Cheny from positive supportive to detractive psedo leader of non-belivers...liberal and thus a weaker Paul. Missed entire Mentat plot lines, Gerny/Mother betrayal plot and portrayed mother as mastermind overall. But as a movie adaptation for the unread it does explore interesting directions by ignoring parts of the source for an enjoyable experience until a drop mic ending with no satisfaction.

People need to stop complaining about the price this is a great movie and if you’re complaining about a price just don’t buy the movie and stop bickering like if you are broke just say that

The Lisan Al gaib would not want us to spend the recent price hikes ($30) for the same product these companies use to sell to us for ($20). This price is only worthy if we get both movies just like they use to do back in the day (2019)

Not sure if it was the IMAX but the sound was really overwhelming couldn’t really get into it as well seemed rushed and too slow in parts though I am partial to the first Dune so maybe my nostalgia is hindering my ability to get into the storyline. Do have to say the mother’s character is definitely a better interpretation in Dune 1 & 2 I’m hoping for more progression there.

30 dollars for a pre-order is far too much

It’s the Game of Thrones except using thinly masked references to nonfictional ethnic and political groups. If you get satisfaction from watching people throw tantrums, yell at each other forcefully, and kill each other to solve problems, then this movie is for you. It celebrates primitive behaviors dressed up in shiny technologies, and every action is justified if it enhances the prospect of “securing the throne.”

This movie was one of the most climatic movies I have ever seen! In other words, it’s awesome.

A masterpiece.Hhighly recommended

Having seen both films more than once during there theatrical runs, Villeneuve is clearly more interested in Frank Herberts themes of false gods/prophets as well as Herberts distaste for the “Chosen One”/“White Savior” narrative which is the really the spiritual essence of Herberts six novels. Yes he streamlines the book but maintains the essence of all that Frank Herbert created. He is telling a Bene Gesserit story. A Bene Gesserit story that I think one has to watch (both parts) twice to fully enjoy because the visuals are so spectacular and awe-inspiring. And if that’s not the part of the book you like, it’s hard to accept. Me personally, that’s the part I loved. It allows him to talk about populism with being rejected by the audience.

The movie is good, but the price for preorder is too much. I’ll wait for the price to drop.

Dune: Part Two is one of the best, if not THE best, sci-fi movies to be released in the 2020s. I have not felt the way I feel about this movie since I watched Lord of the Rings for the first time. In an age where movies are released simultaneously on streaming as well as in theaters, the movie theater industry desperately needed a movie that would bring people back to the seats, and Dune: Part Two is that movie. Taking place immediately after Dune: Part One, this movie continues the adventure of Paul Atreides as he learns the ways of the native people of Arrakis, the Fremen, while her Bene Geserrit mother Jessica sows the seeds of deception that leads the Fremen to believe that Paul is their messiah, the Lisan al-Qaib: the Voice from the Outer Worlds that would lead them to paradise. All the while, the Baron of House Harkonnen conspires with the Emperor of the Known Universe to erase them both. I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to everyone who sees it. This movie is one of Denis Villeneuve’s best works, and I truly hope that we will get a Part Three after this.

Movies often change from book to screen, and in this case it’s been 60 years since Frank Herbert wrote “Dune”. Part 2 just makes for a really compelling story and I feel as if the entire team behind this masterpiece got away with murder in how they succeeded to bring this to life both visually and in the screenplay. The actors brought their full arsenal of gifts to the silver screen and the choice to shoot an entire sequence in infrared was incredibly pronounced and added to the Geidi Prime sequence. Well done to all of you.
