One of filmdom's most notorious killers is back to wreak more mayhem as Chucky continues his quest to possess the body of a human child. Eight years after seemingly destroying the killer doll, Andy Barclay (Justin Whalin) turns 16 and is placed in a military school. Meanwhile, the greedy president of Play Pals Toy Company decides to resurrect the popular Good Guys doll line, confident that all the bad publicity is forgotten. As the assembly line recreates the first doll from a mass of melted plastic, the spirit of Chucky returns to renew his quest and seek revenge on Andy. Once again it's up to Andy to stop the unrelenting killer in this fast-paced thriller.

This is easily one of the worst Child's Play films ever made in the franchise. This movie is filled with mean-spirited moments, take one would be Andy being heckled by the students at the military school. There is absoluetly NO reason to have a killer doll stalk a boy who is already a young adult and trying his best to forget the bad memories. Then what happens next is true. The movie became a black gloob of its shameful self. I hate all the characters that were portrayed in the film. I hate Sheldon and his freaking right-hand man out of all of them; Sheldon dies but his partner doesn't (oops, I spoiled it). The entire movie is just a torture montage of Andy being bullied and no one has ever felt ashamed that he was telling the truth about Chucky. In fact, this movie is full of Despair and Hate.
If it had more kills out of all the films, this movie would've been more great. But nope, it only relys on harsh language and "soft touch kills."

Child's Play 3 was a waste of time beyond special writting and making it worse. Child's Play 3 wanted to be make this new enstallment look like "What if we throw Andy Barkely from the 2 original chucky films in Full Metal Jacket from Stanley Kubrick and also put Chucky that serves no reason to haunt Andy in millitary school" there you have a third outting that makes no sense and overall focues on the kills more than the dramatic tenison or creepness in surpasses the magic from the 2 original films this one stinks.

I feel like Brad didn't put enough for the part in this movie. It just feels like he's trying to be more funny, than doing what he needs to do. This movie was honestly, a waste of time. The whole plot of trying to get Tyler, was a waste. Chucky thinks that just because he's in a new body, and that he didn't tell anyone his secret, that he can transfer his soul into someone else. Well, actually, even if he had a new body, Andy still knows who he really is, so he would still need Andy. To be fair, it's better than Bride of Chucky because at least they kept the same story. When they made Bride of Chucky, they completely changed the story, and made it stupid. It only got worse when they made Seed of Chucky. Anyways, I give this movie 2 stars because it's not the worst, but not the best either. I'll respect the first film because it was good, and better than the sequels.

The only reason to watch this film is the opening sequence. Everything from that point on, unfortunately, feels more like a Child's Play TV movie, Brad Dourif is the only major actor to return here, everyone, including the kid who played Andy was replaced (with the kid from the Dungeons & Dragons movie no less) and they moved the story to a military academy. Since Andy is much older (he's aged seven years at least) Chucky has replaced the since aged former victim with a new kid whose about ten times as annoying and naive (and one of the major reasons this film is so horrendous), which negates the whole purpose of him tracking down Andy in the first place and following him to the military academy. The subplots that they use to fill in the gaps of time where Chucky is not on screen feel like something out of an 80s films about teen angst (take any movie where Molly Ringwald or John Cusack play the underdog) albeit without the laughs. Whereas with the first two films the writers laid the foundation for the franchise, and the last two the filmmakers brought humor and style to the franchise, this film brings nothing. It works as neither horror nor satire. Nothing to see here folks.

Yep, I really think they stopped all attempts of trying to be scary with this one. This film is bad cinema at some of its best. Seeing Chucky return is always a trip and is lots of fun. The acting this film is horrendous, it's predictable, it's ridiculous, and the ending is so corny that you'll be laughing to death.
OH! And the Atari Lynx makes a cameo too!! SWEET!!
