The Purge anarchy rebuilds the tenison from the first purge and uiltmately this sequel kinda fails at being a brought back from the dead sequel. The movie was so boring that few people were looking for an exit instead of watching the chaos sue.

What a waste of time watching. A guy goes out searching for his sons killer and decides to help survivors make it out the Purge alive. He helps them and in the end he finds his sons killer. You see him going to stab the son killer but the scene cuts and you see his sons killer walk out alive. And the guy who wanted to kill him? Gets shot at the end. Supposedly he was being followed the whole time but they happened to find him at the end of the movie. Such a horrible and misleading movie. Would the government and wealthy people really want to wipe out homeless and lower class people. Who make movies like this. Such a terrible wannabe Hostel movie.

I loved this movie. It's part horror with a lot of action and even quite a bit of emotion and drama. I believe this was a very strong sequel to the first Purge movie. I highly recommend this movie to horror and action fans! A+

I saw the first one and I thought why not watch the 2nd. It was good just like the 1st. Maybe a little bit better. Same idea but little different storyline to keep things fresh and not the same old thing again and again. I would say watch this. Watch the 1st one first. Then this.

The original purge movie sucked. So I said I guess I'll see the 2nd one but I was impressed. This was what I was looking for the purge. Lots of killings, being chased after, lots more violence, and better perspective. The reason though it lost one star is because it wasn't as suspenseful as the first (that's the only reason I like the first) but other than that 10x better than the first!

I really thought this was a scary/horror movie and those aren't the kind of movies I watch, but NO. NO NO NO... It is action packed. I tried to guess what would happen but nope I was wrong everytime. This movie supassed my expectations. I don't think you have to see the first one to see this because I never watched the first one and everyone keeps saying that the first one is not as good as this and for that reason I don't think I'll ever watch it. But with this movie, it seemed like I was already caught up with everything and that there isn't a need to watch the first one. I give this movie 7/5 stars. YES I TYPED THAT RIGHT. Again, coming from a person who doesn't watch scary/horror movies, this was a really good movie.

This movie was awesome! It was like a thriller action movie! The action was most of the movie but there was never a dull moment . The whole movie I was on the edge of my seat. The violence level is a 8.5 or 9 out of ten. I am 12(female) and I just saw it yesterday and already want to watch it again! Overall great movie. P.S. Acting was good too

This Purge was a lot better than the first one, more action and anarchy. The acting was good, but not great. Not like Leonardo DiCaprio acting but, it was perfect for this type of movie. If you enjoy violence and a good movie, than this is one to watch. I bought it though, that's how much I enjoyed the film.

I was pleasantly surprised by the film. It was action packed and intense where needed. Though full of action, it spared the viewer of a lot of gore. It seemed very close what is going today. Poor people have been given up on. That’s been the whole point of insufficient healthcare, low achieving schools, and high crime areas. The rich don’t want the middle class and poor to survive.
Love will always conquer all. Keep on pushing toward a common good where all can live in harmony.

There is nothing more I hate then actors that are excess baggage. Basically one decides to be a hero while about to purge himself only to get these nagging tag alongs that not only ask way too many questions at the wrong time but don't even get brave thru out the whole movie to even help him. Sigh. Characters are weak, they don't do anything but slow the man with the real mission down and the storyline is baggage at best. Is it better than the first one? Depends on if you are the annoying kid in the car that keeps asking are we there yet? Over and over again. If you can take the annoying kids in the car then you can sit thru this movie.

I've seen most in the horror genre. It would be a mistake to write this off as less than what it is: a gritty,truly-frightening and futuristic tale of social class commentary. It's well done and an excellent follow up to the story line in the first film. For those who wrote negative comments, perhaps you're not bright enough to read the subtext or you simply didn't get it.
