After leaving the Army after W.W.II, Bob Wallace and Phil Davis team up to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who also have a song-and-dance act. When Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to perform a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups ensue as the performers try to help the General.

I love to watch this movie because it reminds me of the 70s—the variety shows. My father loved Bing Crosby and introduced our family to movies that were before our time… Thanks dad for instilling Americana on your children. The movie itself is great. You’ll appreciate it if any one of your family served in WWII.

Be warned, you are not getting the same transfer as is available on blu-ray. While this claims to be HD, the color, contrast, sharpness, and luminance are very poor. My blu-ray player died and so we bought this version. I wish I had shelled out for a new player instead!
Still, we love this movie. It’s a classic and family favorite.

Classic Hollywood at it's best, packed with amazing singing and dancing. Vera-Ellen's dancing performances are INCREDIBLE! This Xmas delight is absolutely magical, a must-see, especially around the Holiday!

White Christmas is SUCH a great movie musical. It would most definitely be one of my top three favorite movies of all time. All of the actors and actresses are fabulous. Rosemary Clooney, Bing Crosby, and Danny Kaye all have amazing voices. Irving Berlin's music is just so beautiful, which is just another thing to add to the movie's charm. In all, White Christmas may be the best movie that you've ever seen.

Don't get me wrong, I still love National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but for a family tradition White Christmas is by far the best. I don't get some of the other older Christmas movies too much and they seem a bit boring. This movie is not only classic but still has great themes, messages and songs.
If you have never seen Rosemary Clooney before, she totally glistens in this gem. The snow song is my all time favorite. So simple but so awesome!
With the wartime ending theme, this is a treasure that Military families coming home from our wars on terror will relate to.

I love this movie. I always watch it with the family. Who does not like Bing Crosby, have not met anyone yet. But it says only the Fullscreen version. I took a chance, and it is actually the Widescreen version. Yes you can download this great Christmas movie in its actual Widescreen version.

This is right up there with my favorite all time christmas movies. The dialogue is perfect, the story may be simple but who cares, even the song and dance numbers, which I usually do not like, somehow seem just right. Years ago as a kid I fell in love with Rosemary Clooney watching this movie. Now I watch it every year.

I love old classic and christmas movies but this one is the worst. I don't understand why everyone loves this film. It hardly has anything to do with Christmas at all and the flow of the movie is just weird.

The picture's clarity and definition are amazing. And the colors are astounding when compared with previous issues of this movie. The Carousel night club song with Clooney in the black dress is incredible.
Although we still have the two couples supposedly traveling up the east coast from Florida to Vermont by non-eastern railroads Santa Fe and Southern Pacific. Just saying.....

This is the kind of movie that i think about when i think of christmas. It's the kind of move that has me wishing i could live in it. I watch this movie all year round, its that amazing. The songs are perfect, and the dancing is amazing. The storyline is almost perfect.

This is a must see Christmas classic! I watch it atleast once a christmas and love it more everytime I watch it. Yes it's a little cheesy but the music is great and unforgettable, something to love now matter how many times you've seen it! :)

I was born in a time when movie makers stopped making great movies. My mother and I would get up every Saturday morning and watch channel 57 - which is now TCM. I have yet to have Christmas pass me by without seeing this classic. I know every song by heart and sing them with pride. This movie should be a staple for every Christmas movie fan. Very few movies today (or the last 20 years) can compare.

This is one of those movies that is always a tradition in my family to watch at Christmas. Why? Well my grandfather being one of the lead cameramen for starters, but also because it is one of the quintessential classic movies that I can watch again and again. Bing crosby's voice and acting alone are brilliant, but it brings fresh light into a movie concept that is still being used today, although it just seems like no one can quite accomplish that feeling of joy and nostalgia that this one always seems to.
Every year I watch this movie and as I get older I always find something new that I hadn't noticed before. For example, I now know why my dad starts laughing every time Bing got behind the piano, because he couldn't play. All in all this remains one of my favorite movies of all time and can't recommend it anymore to viewers of all ages.

I luv this movie, it is my favorite Christmas movie, along with Home Alone 1 and 2. Unfortunetly, there is no soundtrack for Rosemary Clooney, who played Betty, signed a contract that said she couldn't use her voice in the soundtrack. I believe there is a soundtrack somewhere, but Peggy Lee filled in for her voice. The movie is excellently casted, with the fabulous Bing Crosby with his 'White Christmas' song, a favorite of everyone, Rosemary Clooney with her lovely song 'Love, you didn't do right by me", Vera Ellen (who couldn't sing and her voice was filled in by someone else) who is, in my opinion, the World's best ever dancer, and of course the Hilarious Danny Kaye, my personal favorite actor, comedian, and singer. 'White Christmas' is definatly the best movie to buy if there ever was one. Also check out 'the Court Jester' with Danny Kaye and Angela Lansbury (Murder, she wrote)

I have seen this movie hundreds of times and it never gets old. It is funny, entertaining, and touching without being over the top. The musical numbers are very believable and the multileveled plot does not disappoint. This movie is worth every penny, if not more.

This is by far my favorite Christmas movie, and definitely in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Probably top 3. Everyone should see this movie at least once in their lifetime, it is SO GOOD. My family watches it together every year and I always end up watching it by myself at LEAST 2 or 3 times again. It is such a feel-good movie and the songs are so catchy and addicting. Even the one or two "filler" songs that aren't really necessary are still really good. DEFINITELY BUY THIS MOVIE!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

This is one of my favorite Christmas movies to watch during the year. The cast was well picked, with Bing Crosby having the best male vocals, Danny Kaye having an excellent skill in comedy, Rosemary Clooney having a beautiful voice and Vera-Ellen's fabulous dancing talent. The best songs in the movie are Sisters, Gee I Wish I Was Back in the Army, White Christmas, and Love, You Didn't Do Right By Me. I recommend watching this movie.

Simply said. . .THE best christmas movie ever made. Bing, Danny, Rosemarie and Vera mesh so well together. The overall music numbers and all that "SNOW" is simply irresistable. If you have not had the opportunity to watch this movie. . .WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!!??!! I watch it at least once a year.
